A little bit about me. . .

My life has always revolved around words, in one way or another. My words-oriented career started in 2015 with songwriting. I had the opportunity to participate (and win!) the Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout that year. Shortly after that, I was granted the privilege of playing in the Frank Brown International Songwriter Festival.

Today, I’m focusing my love of words on helping self-publishing and indie authors perfect their craft through the editing process. (See the "Work" page for testimonials from authors and writers I’ve already worked with.) I completed the copyediting program through UC San Diego Extension in 2019, and I have taken supplementary classes focusing on editing fiction with the EFA.

My experience with editing includes YA, fantasy, memoirs, humor, and romance. My greatest joy is to support self-publishing authors, either through editing or by writing honest reviews of indie books I enjoyed on my Blog. I have experience with all levels of editing—from proofreading to heavy copyedits, as well as manuscript reviews. (To see descriptions of different levels of copyediting, see the "Services" page.)

I aim to be your book’s greatest advocate. Editing shouldn’t be a daunting process. As a fellow creative, I completely understand any misgivings you may have about hiring an editor. That’s why I offer sample edits. I want to make sure we are a perfect match.
